Eight-year-old granddaughter has been anticipating this book and was so excited it FINALLY got here. Initially, if I had known they were graphic books, I probably wouldn't have bought them. HOWEVER, these graphic, fast moving adventures have helped take a reluctant, almost non-reader to an excited reader of chapter books in a few months! I read that more challenging vocabulary is introduced earlier in graphic books like these. Mommy and Grandma are very happy to see her reading skills improving so quickly. The 7 year old has re-read the series several times over. I am very excited for this 4th book, it will be for my son's 8th birthday in November. Will update on content after I've read it. If it's like the others though, it'll be a family favorite. Even as an adult it's fun to read. There are great puns and clever jokes all throughout, and the story itself is just cute and funny.
